Ramblings from the Admin

We have been quite busy putting together SpooksCentral. We officially launched March 1, 2011, not knowing the amount of material to write about was going to sky rocket with all the unfortunate world events going on at this time. Seems to make one wonder about the 2012 end times prophesies.

I have hammered out some fixes for the login module that was not working properly. At this time, registered users to the site can now add web site links, as well as write their own paranormal, or similar related articles for review by (me) and posted to the site. There will be further perks for being a member as well. What those are, I am not sure yet, but stay tuned, we are growing fast.

In addition to building the site, there has been a massive link building campaign, to quickly get SpooksCentral into a prime position in search engines, especially Google for obvious reasons.

It is getting close to time to take the server down for a few hours overnight to create mirrors of the multiple websites I am running onto a couple spare hard drives for disaster recovery.  Just one of the many strategies I use so as to never lose any hard work over a period of years.

I'm excited to have an investigator travelling to the Villisca, Iowa Axe Murder House in late June of this year. If time and money permits, I would like to go myself. At any rate, we should have an interesting report on this overnight event coming up.

Well, money and time did NOT permit my trip to Villisca Iowa. The economic situation here is hitting hard, much harder than I have ever experienced before. I will try again another time. I would like to encourage all new and existing members of the spook site to become a contributor. If you've had paranormal experiences, we would all love to hear them.

Happy 4th, dont blow your hands off!

We are moving to a new comment module (disqus) as it seems to be cleaner with much more functionality, than the old module. Unfortunately, this will probably wipe out some old comments as we move forward.
