I can make it Rain

In late 1983, Don Decker, an unemployed 20 year old, was released from the local jail to attend his grandfather's funeral. He had lived with him, and after the burial he was taken in by a family on Ann Street in Stroudsburg.

Young Don didn't have many talents, but the one he did have was a doozy. "I can make it rain," he told police officers. Could he ever - in his home, in jail, in front of friends, strangers, and the police. At his whim, jets of water would rain down from no apparent source. He also could drop the temperature of a room to freezing cold in a heartbeat.

Some of the splashdowns were witnessed and verified by the local gendarmes, including Stroud Area Regional Police Chief John Baujan and former Stroudsburg cop Richard Wolbert.

A friend of his, Pam Scarfano, tried to get him under control by putting a crucifix around his neck. It left a burn mark on him before he could tear it off. Then, a year to the day after his grandfather's death, the rainmaker suddenly lost his power.

Parapsychologists still haven't figured out the cause of his short-lived ability to call down rain.

I Believe in UFOs documentary from the BBC features actor Danny Dyer as he investigates topics that include UFOs, aliens from beyond Earth, crop circles, and other paranormal phenomena. Dyer holds discussions with several expert researchers, authorities on UFOs, and individuals who report having mysterious and unexplained encounters that may have had extraterrestrial origins. The film I Believe in UFOs attempts to provide an even-handed presentation, interviewing people on all sides of the paranormal issue and balancing the ideas of those who believe in such occurrences with those who remain skeptical of them. Included in the film is fascinating footage of crop circles from 2009 and a display of discomfort by Danny Dyer during a spiritual session at ECETI with James Gilliland, a UFO enthusiast who has published testimonials from among the thousands of people who have visited his ranch and been witnesses to UFO sightings. Dyer talks with one man who has claimed to have evidence indicating that he was abducted by extraterrestrials. Dyer also investigates the reported discoveries of UFO landing sites, as well as alleged proof that beings from beyond Earth have performed scientific experiments in Britain. One of the high points in the film is Dyer’s meeting with his childhood hero, Sir Patrick Moore, amateur astronomer and former president of the British Astronomical Association. Moore gained fame through the authorship of some 70 books and as a long-time presenter on The Sky at Night, a BBC television series. Moore has been credited with enhancing astronomy’s profile among the general public in the United Kingdom. Dyer’s quest for information about UFOs and his attempt to have a sighting of his own ultimately takes him to the UFO Research Center in Portland, Oregon.

Spook in the Sewer

This video was located at the video website LiveLeak.com, under the title: Monster Seen In Sewer caught On Camera During Survey. I poked around further and found a slightly better video on youtube with slow motion of the interesting parts. Searching for further information I find :North west water company United Utilities (England) is appealing for help after sightings of an unusual-looking animal in the sewer network.

The creature, which one worker described as being 'far too big for a rat, standing upright on strong back legs' has been spotted in sewers in the north west in recent weeks.

The water company has today published CCTV footage of the creature, filmed by sewer engineers during a pipe survey, in the hope that the public can help to provide answers.
Update April 5, 2011 Unfortunately, this has turned out to be an April Fools joke. I always found April fools to be an irritating holiday. It was fun for awhile anyway. http://www.unitedutilities.com/monstersightings

An Account of Demonic Possession

Reverend Dr. T. L. Lowery gave this testimony about Demon Possession
In the early summer of 1981, I had just come off a forty-day fast during which I was seeking God's direction for the church. I was weak and frail in body, but felt good in my soul. Almost immediately afterward, I received a telephone call inviting me to come and preach at the Alabama Camp Meeting in Birmingham. That night, as thousands of people filled the tabernacle, it seemed that there were just as many people standing and sitting around outside the building as there were inside.
When I stepped to the podium, I had to hold on to the pulpit in order to stand up. As I began to preach, I felt something come over me. People said that I looked as if I had seen a ghost. The congregation said that my countenance literally changed. I first thought that this was because I was still experiencing the physical effects of the fast, but in reality it was the spiritual results of my fast.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit not only fell on me, but seemingly on everybody in the congregation. By the close of the message, it seemed that every able-bodied person in the tabernacle was standing. Hundreds came forward for the salvation and to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
In the prayer line for healing and deliverance, I saw a woman approach me and felt the Spirit check my spirit. When she reached where I was standing, I said to her, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, "My dear lady, you are demon-possessed." Immediately, the look on her face changed, and her countenance became distorted in a horrible, grotesque manner.
I could hear the voice of the demon itself as the woman began to talk back to me. I put the microphone to her lips so that everyone at the camp meeting could hear what the demon was saying. The voice within her raged: "We've been here a long time, and we will not come out. You are powerless to force us to come out."
My spirit rose within me when she challenged the authority I have in Christ. The Spirit of God came on me stronger. The entire congregation heard me shout: "You foul demon of hell, you know who I am. I am T. L. Lowery, a servant of the living God; and I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to come out! In Jesus' name, come out now!"
Suddenly, we heard an explosion that some said sounded like a cannon went off. The demon came out of the woman in a literal, physical manifestation. The people described it as a black, furry mass with a long tail. I saw it come out of the woman's mouth and shoot out over the heads of the people. Then it went out through the side of the tabernacle with a noise that sounded like a freight train.
